This trip was on Saturday 21st Oct and there were thousands of visitors it seemed. There was not any parking places available by noon time and car parking was up on the grass verge where ever I could find a space at Sheffield Park. There was only four Loco's running on the line with some big boys toys in the new loco sheds placed back to back with poor light. However I did manage to get some PICS and the West Country 'Eddistone' didn't go anywhere further than a 100 yds and back blowing off steam.
City of Truro was there with some others and the one I liked was the 4MT BR Standard which looked good.
Well apart from it raining on and off it was not too bad. My main compliant was the loco's in the Engine Sheds not being wheeled out and such bad parking arrangements not being catered for by the Bluebell organisers. These Steam Weekends attract a lot of visitors and they should provide some sort of 'Park & Ride' by Bus/Coach even if one had to pay for it. They had to turn a lot of people away on the day.
Hope you enjoyed the PICS if you couldn't get there yourself and keep in touch with my site for further developments
