Further additions have been made with my favourite loco's being on view and I am developing the scenery side a bit more adding bits to the layout as we go along. The Gaugemaster 4 line controller has proved it's weight in gold - much better power to use now.
Hope to feature the site.
Footbridge model kit on the left. All Metcalfe kits are used throughout. An added extension to the Engine Shed is in progress
We now have our very own TOTEM
At the end of March 2007 I have now developed more of the scenery with 'More Metcalfe Models'. Here you will see an addition to the 'Engine Shed' which has been 'dirted' up a bit to look more realistic, with more shops coming into view at Tunnel Parade. Behind the Engine Shed further industrial buildings have been added at the north-west corner with the Metcalfe Church model looking absolutly superb at the north east-end. More trees have been growing as you can imagine, with some crossing gates on the main express line.
As you can see we are making progress and here are the Metcalfe Shops on view (left side)
Notice how with the use of some 3B pencil smudges and black smeared paint one can really make the Engine Shed look really super. I painted the inside and as you can see this works really well, after all they were never pristine in real life. I'm really pleased the way the inside have come out - good bit of photo work there - getting right inside.
What do think about my artistic work? With the bus going out down the road with my painted scenery going off into the distance. The Postman with his bike is ready to be painted and with a bit of luck you might just catch that Bus.
